Apr 18, 2017 | OQS News

It is with great pleasure we announce Ocean Explorer C60-002 will be launched this autumn.
The specification outlines a safe and fast performance cruiser capable of crossing the oceans in full comfort.

She is built to category CE Ocean A and MGN280-2.
DNV-GL has been appointed as notified body.

The accommodation layout incorporates 1 crew + 4 guest cabins.
The intention is to offer a true premium sailing experience for all aboard. The materials and equipment installed are carefully chosen in order to match the high set of expectations.
The carbon fiber mast is supplied by Lorima who is globally very recognized in the multihull market and the professional racing arenas.
The sails are made by North Sails and the winches are supplied by Harken.

In order to meet requirements for occasional shorthanded sailing and effortless sail handling in general are both the jib and storm jib on electrical 24V furlers.
A retractable hydraulic Max Power bow thruster is installed for ensuring smooth maneuvering in narrow harbor areas.

The galley will be very well equipped. Sufficient freezer and fridge capacity is installed for covering long passages and for ensuring proper dining at times when the numbers of guests aboard are high. The watermaker will have a capacity of producing freshwater of 150 l/h.

The dinghy (RIB), for 8 persons will have 50hp engine, sufficient for waterskiing and wakeboarding.

Prospective Ocean Explorer clients will be able to take part in sea trials by invitation prior to the delivery. For inquiries please contact Peter Granholm or the listed sales agents.

The chosen build category allows commercial charter operations to take place. The experienced owner intends to push the envelope in the premium charter segment when not using the boat privately.

The Ocean Explorer C-60 will besides the outstanding luxury and comfort provide a real sailing experience which is not easily found among the boats in the regular charter fleets.

The sailing performance capabilities found in the Ocean Explorer is superior in comparison and we think this will be appreciated by the guests, simply offering a superb charter experience which will be hard to match.

Prospective charter guests are welcome to send preliminary inquiries to OQS for early bird benefits.
The charter program will be worked out during the summer. A Caribbean winter season 2017 can be foreseen together with presence in some of the US boat shows in early 2018.
More information will be shared out in the coming months.
