Last week we hinted about the yard having exciting times ahead, and the time has finally come to share the great news. As a result of actively listening to our clients for years and by following our aim to always push the boundaries of what is possible, we have developed a new catamaran model which will be highly advanced in technology, build materials and ultimately performance.
Our new model is a development of our most popular model, the OE60, and will be titled OE62 due to extended transoms and waterline. To further increase performance, we have developed other solutions, such as extended daggerboards and bowsprit, new rudders and simply new build materials that combined will take the OE62 to the next generation performance cruising catamarans. More details regarding this model, together with the general specifications, will be revealed later this month. The naval architect for the OE62 is none other than the proficient Germán Frers.
We are equally excited to share that the contract for the first hull was signed earlier this year. The construction period will begin this month and the delivery of the vessel is planned to take place during the summer of 2024. The whole OQS team is happy to have a lively time ahead and to do what we do best – building state-of-the-art catamarans.
